“Neighbourhood First” is the framework the Government uses in its replies to Parliament.
Partnership names are set in bilateral documents. The Ministry's brief on France, for example, says the 1998 partnership “embodied the core vision of both countries to enhance their respective strategic autonomy”.
The Ministry answers questions in Parliament on India's position on the UN Security Council.
According to the MEA’s ASEAN brief, India’s engagement with ASEAN has been driven by the Act East Policy, the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative and “enhancing physical and digital connectivity”. The MEA’s India–US brief records that leaders co-hosted a meeting on economic corridors, including the India–Middle East–Europe Economic Corridor, at the 2023 G20 Summit.

The India–US Initiative for Critical and Emerging Technology was launched on 31 January 2023. “Critical and emerging technologies” is one of the Quad's four pillars.
“Economic prosperity and security” is a Quad pillar. The June 2026 India–France outcomes include setting up a dialogue on economic security.
